did you know…Finnish companies part 1: Oasis of the Seas, a HUGE cruise ship = made in Finland, Turku

We Finns are too modest about our talent in business world!
It was coincident that I noticed a small article of this HUGE news.
All those people in STX Finland Oy in Turku who are working hard to get ready this beauty – 
I’m proud of you!     Well done!


Check the video – look at the art! yes, art! they’re decorating this ship!


Oasis of the Seas is going to sail to it’s homeport, Port Everglades, Florida in couple of weeks.
Royal Caribbean must be happy about this new piece of beautiful art!


I wish lots of super great cruises to all travelers on board –

  3. Nämä isot paatit ovat tuttuja kun kaksi lähisukulaista on ollut töissä siellä jo ennen syntymääni. Ennen pääsi laivoja katsomaan (työntekijöiden sukulaiset), mutta tais jo vuosia sitten säästöbudjetti iskeä siihenkin eikä sellaista ole tapahtunut enää piiitkäään aikaan. 1990-luvun alussa taisi saada jopa risteilykuponkeja ruoka- ja drinksulippuineen uusimpaan laivaan, muistan olleeni sellaisella risteilyllä (tosin vain Suomen ja Ruotsin välillä).
