20 x ANZAC Bridge in Sydney, Australia

Photos of the weekend #10 / 20 x ANZAC Bridge in Sydney, Australia

Hi everyone!

Holiday in Sydney is over but I have a zillion pics to post.

Anzac bridge was huge and beautiful…I took several pics of it….

ANZAC Bridge was given its current name on Remembrance Day in 1998

to honour the memory of the soldiers of

the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC)

who served in World War I.

An Australian Flag flies atop the eastern pylon and

a New Zealand Flag flies atop the western pylon.

  3. Isn’t Sydney an amazing city. I only spent two days there, prior to a cruise seventeen years ago but I packed every minute full ( when I wasn’t sitting and dining on the Quay, across from the Opera House an drinking some of the Aussie’s fabulous wines ).

The bridge pictures are great, some almost dizzying!!

  7. This bridge is outstanding! The cables have a geometric view, some of them arranged like the colors of light emanating from the towers like a prism. Though designed for function, the ANZAC is truly an engineered beauty!
