  1. Marimekko used to be more widespread here, less now but you can find it. I hadn’t seen as much of their black and white – this area seems to have always imported more of the bright colors. I am such a fan of sling chairs, perfect for a good book!

  2. As a teen I was introduced by my hippie sister to Marimekko in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass…..I was in awe of all the designs and colors, and the vast variety of items….love your pics; they send me to a great ‘remember when’…..

  3. I haven’t seen Marimekko until now but I love what you have shown me, and with thanks to Google, I have found a stockist in a local suburb! 🙂

  4. What style – perhaps as a guy I don’t follow the whims of fashion (USA or Finland :), yet these photos are enchanting and artistic too. Art is all around us – here it cannot be missed!

  5. Kuiskaus on tosi makee tuon väripläjäyksen tasapainottajana. Siirtolapuutarhakin on. Voi että, ihanaa väri-iloittelua!

    Mukavaa viikonloppua!

    • Ihanaa, ihanaa, värejä ja ilottelua – etenkin made by us – aika mieletön ajatus kun oikein ajattelee…Kyllä Ratia oli aikamoinen mimmi! 🙂

  6. Marimekolla on kyllä ihania kuoseja! Siellä on ainakin satamonta, joista pidän. Tuo siirtolapuutarha näytti hienolta, en ollut ennen nähnytkään, kuten en myöskään kuiskausta – mielenkiintoinen ja oikeassa tilassa varmasti upea.
    Huiskis!

  7. I hated Marimekko when I was young, I thought only old people wore stripes and dots and liked to have awful patterned curtains.
    And now I adore Marimekko.

    What has happened to me????

    • hm…you’re…improved! 🙂 hahah 🙂
I liked Marimekko when I was young but didn’t have their products like our neighbours – all 5 people were Marimekko!
I’m proud that Marimekko is keeping up Finnish, high quality work made by people who get decent salary, good quality lunch at their own restaurant…
