This is a happy girl/woman,
almost jumping 🙂
Helsinki 12.01.2015
Some bloggers have been painting/drawing like old masters.
I’d like to introduce two of my favorite Finnish masters.
‘Boys playing on the shore’ by Albert Edefelt
‘Symposium’ by Akseli Gallen-Kallela
I saw this painting last week in Ateneum Art Museum
‘Year 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jean Sibelius.
Ateneum Art Museum makes an early start on the festivities
with an extensive jubilee exhibition that explores
the composer’s contacts with the art scene of his day.’
Have a relaxing weekend!

It is amazing what kind of compositions ice can inspire. so dramatic but I also like the simplicity.
It was also interesting to look at the art of Finnish masters. I must see some more.
ps. i joined world pulse:) thank you
Wonderful – and I love the master work you posted and the stories they tell!
great movement you’ve achieved with your illustration using simple lines and watercolors! Thanks for introducing me to some Finnish artists-the paintings are exquisite.
Thanks for sharing, happy Paint Party Friday 🙂
