weekend #21 – after eye surgery

 

Hi everyone!

 

I had a break last weekend because of an eye surgery.

5 days face down was quite hard but now it’s over!

Here’s an animated video to get the idea….

 

 

 

 

‘If the surgeon places an intraocular gas bubble in the eye

(to maintain retinal reattachment while the eye heals from surgery),

the patient will have to maintain a face-down position postoperatively.’

I still have that gas bubble but it’s getting smaller every day.

Only problem is to look straight down when the bubble

makes the vision unsharp. Painting, writing  etc. isn’t easy..

I shut that eye when I paint! 🙂

  5. This was amazing. The blues are so pretty. . . albeit I understand the need to actually see. One of my cataracts I had to see around, it was right in the center of my vision. AARRGGHH. Be well quickly. Blessings, Janet PPF

  8. your abstract is very telling about your experience. I have heard of this surgery. It must have been very difficult to go through in such a position but I do hope it was perfectly successful and you’ll be using both eyes to art again very soon!
