Jean Sibelius and Finnish music day.
Here’s one of my favorite Sibelius music, Finlandia.
“Finlandia, Op. 26, is a tone poem by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.
It was written in 1899 and revised in 1900.“

Your painting is beautiful. Thanks for the video of those gorgeous scenes of Finland. Finlandia is one of my favorite musical pieces. Did you know that it is in the Methodist hymnal as the music for “Be Still my Soul”? (from about 7 minutes in to the end) It always gives me chills up my spine.
Such a moving tribute to your country…I enjoyed every minute so much! And your painting is very nice. We get our inspiration from nature and other art and this is a wonderful post!
